At Diamond S Company, we specialize in installing shallow (less than five feet deep) utilities to communities in the greater Salt Lake Valley. Whether we’re installing steel lines out in a field or plastic lines into subdivisions and neighborhoods, our team has the experience and expertise needed to get the job done right and on time.

Steel Line Installation

We install both high-pressure and low-pressure steel pipelines. The high-pressure pipelines transport natural gas from its source to regulator stations, where the pressure of the gas is lowered for the supply line; this gas then travels into large-diameter, low-pressure steel pipelines, where it can feed the small-diameter plastic distribution pipelines; from here, it runs through services to homes and businesses.

Plastic Line Installation

We bring gas directly to the families of Utah with plastic gas line installation services: ranging from the installation of intermediate high pressure gas mains, to transport fuel, to entire neighborhoods or subdivisions – and ultimately to the placement of individual gas lines into family homes and commercial businesses. Our expert crews – which include foremen, operators, fusers and laborers – are also skilled in safely replacing existing, outdated pipes.

While our crews perform one hundred percent of the actual installation or replacement for both steel and plastic lines, we partner with the best contractors in the business to ensure quality when asphalt replacement, concrete work or directional boring are required.

Core Capabilities

Our people are the lifeblood of our company, so we go the extra mile to provide the best, most up-to-date equipment and training available. In addition to providing all of the specialty machinery needed to complete jobs efficiently, all of the cabs in our equipment are air conditioned for operator comfort and each and every piece of equipment in our fleet is updated/cycled after 8,000 hours of use.

Both our people and equipment are certified.
Specific safety training is required for each and every person at the job site.

When it comes to construction equipment, we are proud of our long multi-generational relationship with CASE Equipment Company and rely on them for most of the specialized equipment in our fleet.

Our fleet is anchored by a CASE 580 Loader Backhoe. The CASE 580 is smaller and faster than a typical excavator, giving us the speed and flexibility we need for installing shallow utilities. Operating this specialty equipment requires specific know-how and preparation, as it operates differently than excavators and other equipment; but once our operators are trained on it, they never want to go back to other types of backhoes.
Our fleet also includes CASE excavators, CASE mini excavators, CASE 3-yard loaders, Peterbilt trucks, Ford trucks and fusing equipment trucks loaded with specialty equipment to fuse plastic pipe. Our Rig Hands also have their own welding equipment that they use on the job.
Join in our proud tradition by becoming a member of our tight-knit family of natural gas workers
